The Texas Paintbrush, also known as Carstilleja indivisa, can be 8-24 inches tall. This red,yellow,and green flower blooms in spring, April through June. They usually bloom in open medows, roadsides, gardens, and mixtures. This one of a kind wildflower does not transplant well and adapts to well drained areas inn full sun. The scientific classification for the Texas Paintbrush is, Scrophlariaceae.
